Extended Day
O'Farrell Elementary offers an Extended Day Program running from school dismissal to 6 p.m. on every school day. During Extended Day, students are provided dedicated academic time with homework assistance, physical activities, daily enrichment activities (including things like art, STEM, cooking, dancing, and more), and a snack.
General Schedule (M, T, Th, F):
3-4 p.m. Snack and Outdoor Play
4-5 p.m. Academics/Homework Help
5-6 p.m. Enrichment
General Schedule (W):
1-2 p.m. Outdoor Play
2-3 p.m. Academics/Homework Help
3-4 p.m. Snack and Outdoor Play
4-6 p.m. Clubs (Sports, Art, Animals, Dance, etc.)
The O'Farrell Elementary partners with ARC Experience to provide the Extended Day Program for Grades K-6.
Enrollment:
Seats are limited. Enrollment is “first come, first served,” with priority enrollment given as follows:
1. First priority shall go to pupils who are identified by the program as homeless youth, as defined by the federal McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. Sec. 11434a), at the time that they apply for enrollment or at any time during the school year, and to pupils who are identified by the program as being in foster care, who qualify for free/reduced meal prices, or are categorized as an English Language Learner.
2. All other applicants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. All applications are time-stamped upon receipt.
