Extended Day
O'Farrell Elementary offers an Extended Day Program running from school dismissal to 6 p.m. on every school day. During Extended Day, students are provided dedicated academic time with homework assistance, physical activities, daily enrichment activities (including things like art, STEM, cooking, dancing, and more), and a snack.
General Schedule (M, T, Th, F):
3-4 p.m. Snack and Outdoor Play
4-5 p.m. Academics/Homework Help
5-6 p.m. Enrichment
General Schedule (W):
1-2 p.m. Outdoor Play
2-3 p.m. Academics/Homework Help
3-4 p.m. Snack and Outdoor Play
4-6 p.m. Clubs (Sports, Art, Animals, Dance, etc.)
The O'Farrell Elementary partners with ARC Experience to provide the Extended Day Program for Grades K-6.
Enrollment:
“First priority shall go to pupils who are identified by the program as homeless youth, as defined by the federal McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. Sec. 11434a), at the time that they apply for enrollment or at any time during the school year, to pupils who are identified by the program as being in foster care, and to pupils who are eligible for free or reduced-priced meals” [EDC 8483(c)(1)(A)].
All other applicants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. All applications are time-stamped upon receipt.
